IIC Workshop on Patent Filing
The Institution’s Innovation Council, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized an “IP Awareness and Patent Filing Workshop” training session on “A Guide to CopyRights, Patents and Trademarks” (on the theme of Intellectual Property Generation and Commercialization) on 22.01.2026 in the College premises.
Dr. S. Anidha, Assistant Professor of Chemistry (Registrar of Patent – A Flame – Retardant Natural Fibers Composite Board and Method Thereof & Natural Fibers Composites for Construction and Automotive Industries) and
Dr. K. Vijayakumari, Assistant Professor in Computer Science (Registrar of Patent – An IOT-based system to analyze the real-time collapsing probability of structures), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal were the resource persons.
Dr. S. Anidha & Dr. K.Vijayakumari, delivered the training session on “A Guide to CopyRights, Patents and Trademarks”.
They explained the process of preserving and protecting Intellectual Property Rights, promoting the awareness of legal rights of Intellectual Property Creations, introduction of technologies and procedures for patent drafting, and emphasized the significance of IPR in today’s innovation economy. Also, they indicated why patents, trademarks, industrial design, copy rights and innovations are needed for students’ young entrepreneurs and faculty members also.
