The Institution’s Innovation Council, Internal Quality Assurance Cell & Alumni Forum, in association with the Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme titled “Women entrepreneurship in Aari Embroidery Works” on 13th February 2025

Aari Embroidery Women Entrepreneurship Programme 

            The Institution’s Innovation Council, Internal Quality Assurance Cell  & Alumni Forum, in association with the Department of English, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme titled “Women entrepreneurship in Aari Embroidery Works” on 13th February 2025.    

Ms. B. Subalakshmi, Alumni – B.A., English – 2021-2024 batch, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal & Entrepreneur – Blush Bloom Designer and Ammu Makeover, Neikkaranpatti, Ariyur Post, Mohanur Taluk, Namakkal district was the special invitee. 

Ms. Subalakshmi explained the significance of anti-embroidery work for enhancing women’s entrepreneurship.  Also, she explained the historical background of aari embroidery, techniques and tools in Aari embroidery, materials used in aari embroidery, applications of Aari techniques, contemporary fashions, home decorations, cultural and artistic significance, adaptability, future trends, cleaning and maintenance of embroidery goods, drying techniques, etc., 

Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal and Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator – Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the College conveyed their best wishes to the special invitee Ms. B. Subalakshmi.

This programme was conducted by the faculty of English, Mrs. G. Kannagi, Mrs. L. Deepika, Mrs. A. Revathi,  Ms. M. Rekha, Mrs. P. Ahirami,    Dr. K. Gowrimala, Mrs. R. Midhuna, Ms. S. Kavya, Ms. M. V. Mekavarshini and Ms. P.L. Sonia,       Dr. N.Elamathi, Coordinator IQAC, Dr. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator, IIC and the members of Alumni Forum.
