Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme
The Institution’s Innovation Council, Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, in support of the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal on 13.02.2025.
Dr. C. Pandiyan, Professor, Department of Livestock Products Technology (Dairy Science), Tamil Nadu Veterinary College & Research Institute (TANUVAS), Namakkal was the special invitee.
Under the theme of Process of innovation development & technology readiness level & commercialization of lab techniques and technical transfer, this programme was conducted for the students.
Dr. C. Pandiyan, talked about the topic entitled “Process and commercialization of innovative products”.
The process of commercializing innovative products includes a multistep approach, commencement with idea generation and market survey, developing through product development and prototyping and finally, establishing a final result in the establishment and marketing of the new product to reach the target market, targeting to generate sales and revenue, he said.
Apart from that, he brought out the various entrepreneurial topics like the process and commercialization of innovative food products, like, process of food product development, food growth strategy, key stages of food product development, commercialization process, challenges in food product development and commercialization and technologies used in new food product development, etc.,
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director, presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College, welcomed the gathering. The faculty members of Nutrition and Dietetics, Mrs. R. Rupa, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi and Ms. R. Srivarsini also took part in that occasion.
