May Day – Grama Sabha Meet – 01st May 2025
The Labour Day (May Day) Grama Sabha Meeting was held on 01st May 2025 in various places in India.
On this subject, on behalf of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell (C-9496), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, the village representatives, UBA Coordinator and the students have actively taken part in the UBA Network villages of Aniyapuram, Parali, Tholur and Pettapalayam, Mohanur Block, Namakkal District.
The special invitees discussed the availability of various government schemes, policies, public participation in local governance, ensuring accountability, the profile of local people’s needs, such as sanitation, electricity, road maintenance, public health, waste management, sanitation and community development. They also highlighted the administration of village panchayats and public funds expenditure, provisions of online layout approval and building permission, self-certified building permits and paying tax and tax-free income online.
On behalf of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, the village staff representatives, student representatives and coordinator of the programme enthusiastically took part in the UBA adopted villages of Tholur, Pettapalayam, Aniyapuram and Parali in Mohanur Taluk, Namakkal District.
