Best wishes to the players of the weightlifting event.
The Salem District Weightlifting Association conducted a one-day junior & senior (both men and women) weightlifting tournament on 09th November 2025 on the premises of Sri Madhura Kaliyamman Pothu Magajana Thirumana Mandapam, Dadagapatti, Salem.
This event was inaugurated by Mr. R. Rajendran, Honourable Minister of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu. The General Secretary, Mr. S. Shanmugam, the President, Mr. L.R. Marconi, and the special invitees of Salem District Weightlifting Association, took part.
More than 50 players of weightlifting in and around Salem District actively participated. It is proudly noted that Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, obtained the overall first position in that tournament.

In continuation, a felicitation function was held in the college premises on 10th November 2025. Er. K. Nallusamy, Chairman, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conveyed his best wishes to the above said weightlifting achievers. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal, Dr. R. Savithri, HOD of UG Tamil and Mrs. V. Archana, Physical Director of the College have communicated their good wishes to them.
