NSS Programme Officers participate in the information literacy and cybersecurity programme.
The Tamil Nadu State NSS Cell, The Directorate of Collegiate Education, Chennai and NSS Cell of Periyar University, jointly organized a two-day programme entitled “Information Literacy and Cybersecurity” on 18th and 19th December 2025 in the venue of the seminar hall, Department of Computer Science, Periyar University, Salem.
In this regard, Dr. M. Sasikala, NSS Programme Officer (Unit 1) took part on 18th December 2025 and Mrs. V. Gokila, NSS Programme Officer (Unit 2), Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, participated in that programme on 19th December 2025.
Mr. M. Iyan Karthikeyan, Mission Director, Tamil Nadu Fact Check Unit and Dr. P.N. Gunanidhi, Tamil Nadu State NSS Officer/State Liaison Officer were the special invitees.
A total of 160 NSS Programme Officers of Periyar University Affiliated Colleges benefited through that programme. Dr. M. Sasikala and Mrs. V. Gokila, NSS Programme Officers of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, successfully completed the workshop and gained valuable insights into cyber safety, digital literacy, and information security as well as various additional skills essential for strengthening NSS initiatives in our institution.
