Best wishes to the Periyar University First Rank Holder (Gold Medalist) and the Ph.D., Awardees
The twenty-fourth Convocation Ceremony was held at the premises of Periyar University, Salem on 05.02.2026. The Chancellor of the University & the Honorable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Mr. R.N. Ravi, gave the Degree Certificates to the Ph.D., holders and the Gold Medalists in the presence of Dr. C. Anandha Ramakrishnan, Director, CSIR – National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science & Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram and Mrs. E. Sundaravalli, IAS, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, Convener – Vice-Chancellor Committee. Prof. V. Raj, Registrar (FAC), Dr. K. Murugesan, Controller of Examinations (FAC) and the members of Syndicate and Senate of the University.
On this subject, the Gold Medalist (First Rank Holder) of M.A., English, Ms. S. Priyanka, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, obtained the Degree Certificate from the Honourable Governor.
Apart from that, the faculty members of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, Dr. M. Umamageswari (Commerce), Dr. K. Barathi (Tamil) and Dr. S. Sandhiya (Physics) also got the Highest Level of Academic Ph.D., Degree Certificate (s) from him.
The Gold Medalist, as well as the Ph.D., holders of the College are greeted by the Chairman, Er. K. Nallusamy, The Secretary, Er. S. Selvaraj, The Executive Director, Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, the Principal, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, The HOD’s of Tamil (Dr. T.K. Anuradha & Dr. R. Savithri), The HOD of Commerce (Dr. M. Sasikala), The HOD of Physics (Dr. B. Lakshmi) and the Administrative Officer, Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar on 06th February 2026 in the College premises.
