Celebration of World Soil Day
To create awareness of the role of soil, its protection and preservation, the Eco Green Club, in association with the department of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal observed “World Soil Day” on 05th December 2025. Ms. K.L.Priyadharshini, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, delivered the topic titled “Healthy Soil….. Happy Life. ” (வளமையான மண்…….. செழுமையான வாழ்க்கை)
She delivered a speech highlighting the significance of World Soil Day and the methods to protect soil resources. Also, she elucidated various topics such as, the importance of organic and natural farming, the responsibilities of farmers for protecting the soil, global warming and soil erosion, the role of soil in better yield, etc.,
Mrs. G. Kannagi and Mrs. V. Indirakumari, Coordinators, Eco Green Club, the faculty members of Chemistry, Dr. S. Anidha, Dr. S. Kalaivani, Ms. K.L. Priyadharshini, Mrs. G. Mahesh and the volunteers of the Cell attended in that programme.
