Voter Awareness Programme
A voter awareness program for young voters was conducted on the premises of the Collector’s Office, Namakkal, on March 13, 2026. Mrs. Durga Murthi, District Collector, Namakkal, presided over the program. She spoke about the significance of the voting system, its advantages, and educating others to secure 100 percent of votes. Mr. K Selvarasu, Project Director, Women Self Help Group, Women’s Project, Namakkal also highlighted the importance of vote for each and every citizen of India.
In this regard, a webinar was organized by the District Administration, Namakkal District, on that day. All the heads of the Institutions/In-charges of Electoral Literacy Clubs of the various educational institutions in and around Namakkal District participated.
Also, the Collector, Mrs. Durga Murthi, urged the Principals & In-charges of Electoral Literacy Clubs to conduct voting awareness programs, organize voter rallies, etc., on the premises of the Institution. All Principals/Incharges of the Electoral Literacy Club attended that online program.
On behalf of Trinity College for Women, Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, and Dr. R. A. Anitha, Assistant Professor of Tamil and Coordinator of the Electoral Literacy Club, participated.
