Webinar Programme on “A role of funding agencies for getting research grants”

The Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, organized a one-day webinar titled “A role of funding agencies for getting research grants (India)” on 28th February 2026. Due to the observation of National Science Day, this programme was conducted for the benefit of faculty members and the postgraduate students.
Dr. D. Senbagam, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, Chengalpattu District, was the resource person.
Plenty of funding agencies are available in India, as well as abroad. These funding agencies encourage faculty members and research scholars to obtain financial assistance from them for conducting seminars, conferences, workshops, faculty development programs, for getting copyrights, for travel grants, patents, scientific innovations, etc.,      Specifically, funding agencies like the Tamil Nadu State Council for Science & Technology, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Biotechnology, the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Indian Council for Agricultural Research, the University Grants Commission, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, and the Ministry of Education are very helpful to the research scholars and faculty members, she said.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Dr. R. Sakunthaladevi, Assistant Professor of Physics, various department heads, faculty members, students of postgraduate departments, etc., took part.
