Awareness Programme on the RTI Act

Owing to the observance of Right to Information Week (5th October–12th October), The Postgraduate Research Department of Commerce, in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Institution Innovation Council, and National Service Scheme, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted an awareness event on ““Right to Information Act: An Outline” “தகவல் அறியும் உரிமைச் சட்டம் –  ஒரு பார்வை on 12th October 2023 in the venue of ICT Hall – Department of Commerce.

Dr. M. SASIKALA, Assistant Professor and Head, Post Graduate & Research Department of Commerce, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, and Senate Member, Periyar University, Salem, was the resource person.

According to the Right to Information Act, we get information from the government and government-aided organizations. As per the Act passed in 2005, we have to pay Rs. 10 for the application fee. If we do not get a reply from them within 30 days, we will appeal again. There is no need to mention the applicant’s name, designation, or other details. Their name and signature are enough, she said.
