Women Empowerment Programme

Women Empowerment Programme:

The Postgraduate Research & Department of Commerce, in association with the Trinity Women’s Forum, the Institution’s Innovation Council, Placement Cell and Naan Mudhalvan, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, conducted a women emancipation programme on “Financial Independence – Real Women Empowerment” on 25th February 2026.

Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal presided over the programme.

The chief guest was introduced by Dr. M. Sasikala, Assistant Professor & Head, Postgraduate Research Department of Commerce of the College.

CA K.N. Rahavi, Chartered Accountant, Chief Finance Officer, Thenpandian Group of Companies & Life Coach, Namakkal was the special invitee. If a man is educated, it benefits his family only, but if a woman is educated, its benefits spread to the entire society. Problems do not come to destroy us, they come to shape us. We should face our challenge bravely. Only self-earning money can provide economic independence for women. Financial Management is essential for all of us, she stated.

The faculty members of Commerce; Dr. S. Devi, Dr. G. Sathiya Sangari, Dr. M. Umamageswari, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Mrs. A. Rajeswari, Ms. P. Madhupriya, the faculty member of Tamil, Mrs. S. Jayamathi along with the students of Commerce (Both undergraduate and postgraduate of Commerce) participated. The programme was compiled by Ms. B. Shivani Shree, final year M.Com. & Ms. R. Madhusoothana, final year B.Com., Ms. S. Dhanushika, final year B.Com., Computer Applications proposed the vote of thanks.
