Observation of International Yoga Day
As a consequence of the celebration of international yoga day (21st June), yoga and meditation club and in the support of the department of Physical Education, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted a programme on “Yoga and meditation – pick us up for our healthy life” on 21st June 2024.
Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director of the College inaugurated the programme.
Mrs. M. Inbavalli, Vice-President, Namakkal District Yoga Association & Yoga Teacher, Siddhar Karuvoorar Yoga Centre, 58-A, Fort Main Road, Namakkal was the subject expert. All the participants should allocate at least 30 minutes to 40 minutes for taking yoga exercises daily. Yoga helps us strength, improve flexibility, peace, stress reduction, joy, health, balance and endurance, she said. Also, she emphasized that yoga is a way of life which everyone has to practice in today’s stressful environment.
Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Coordinator, Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal & Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science (UG), Mrs. S. Gayathri, Assistant Professor in English of the College also spoke on that occasion. Apart from Mrs. M. Inbavalli, the students of Yoga and Meditation Club of Namakkal District Yoga Association Ms. P. Pooja, Ms. P. Eniya and Ms. S. Harini explained the various exercises related to Yoga.
