Workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design”
The Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College Alumni Association and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, in support of the department of Nutrition and Dietetics, organized an entrepreneurial workshop titled “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” (in food product development) on 22.01.2026 in the College premises.
The main objective of the programme is to give an outline of design thinking, critical thinking concepts, their importance and their interplay in promoting innovation and problem-solving.
Mrs. K. Yamuna Anand, (Alumnus, B.Sc., Computer Science – 2000-2003 Batch), Co-Founder of Anandtronics, Uzhavar Anand Organic, Thillaipuram, Namakkal was the subject expert.
The resource person, Mrs. K. Yamuna, delivered topics like design thinking skills, clarifying ideas, developing and implementing the psychological principles of resourcefulness and creativity, how to generate and identify the thinking out of the box, identifying the customer’s requirements and how to satisfy the customer, creativity of break with tradition, developing prototyping, design for services, etc.,
Dr. R. Navamani, Vice-Principal of the College, presided over the programme. The faculty members of Nutrition & Dietetics, Ms. P. Sri Renugadevi, Mrs. S. Bharathi and Ms. A. Nandhini as well as students of the college took part.
