Awareness campaign on HIV & TB

 By reason of  Azadika Amrit Mahotsav (75th year of India’s Independence Day celebration), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Secretary, Health & Family Welfare) organized a virtual event in the title of “Awareness campaign on HIV & TB” (The Launch of Phase 2) on 12th October 2021 from 11 AM to 11.45 AM. 

Dr (Mrs.) Bharati Pravin Pawar, Honourable Minister of State, Health and Family Welfare, Government of India was the chief guest.   In an effort to celebrate India’s 75th year of independence, Union Ministry of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar on (12.10.2021) Tuesday launched Phase – II of awareness campaign on HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) under Azadika Amrit Mahotsav.  Ms. Pawar spoke “The New India @ 75 has furnished a platform for the states for bringing students, adolescents, youth and other stakeholders to act together in the national interest.   Donation of blood is very essential in our life, especially that all youth are ready to give their blood for our society’s welfare, she insisted.   Nearly 100 volunteers of RRC, Trinity College for Women took part in that virtual event.   Mrs. V. Gokila, Programme Officer of RRC also participated.  

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (75th Year of India’s Independence Day Celebrations), our College has conducted an online event in the heading of”Ek Bharat! Sadbhaav Bharat! (One India! Harmony India) on 24th January 2022.   This event was held under the sub title of “Let us – sing the National Anthem” .   Our National Anthem of India Jana-gana-mana, composed by Nobel Orator Rabindra Nath Tagore.   It was adopted in India on 24.01.1950.   In this regard, this event was organized.Each singer from 28 states and 8 union territories in India with the age from 4 to 74 took part in that occasion. Dr. R. Jagannathan, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Periyar University, Salem was the Chief Guest of this programme.   He spoke of the significance of national integration for our nation’s growth.    This type of programme will be integrated in all states and union territories of India, he denoted. Dr. P. Kanagasabapathi, Chairman, The Indian Council for Social Science and Research, New Delhi was the special    invitee.  India’s strength is unity.   All are Indians from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.   He insists more and more young generation populations are highly actively engaged in all fields, he stated. The Indian states of    Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and the  participants from the Union territories in India like Andaman Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Damen and Diu, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry enthusiastically took part in that online event.  

On behalf of Tamil Nadu state, all the staff members of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal sung the national anthem.  

Dr M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering.   Mr. P.K. Sengodan, Chairman of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal presided over the programme.  Er. K. Nallusamy, Secretary of the College denoted that Indian people in different states and regions eat different kinds of food.  They wear different clothes, they speak different languages, they have different castes and observe different religious practices,   and however, we are integrated for our nation’s development.   Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic of the College highlighted our strength of India, especially our unity.  Ms. S. Poornima, NODAL Officer/Programme Coordinator/Assistant Professor in English introduced the chief guests.  Mrs. A. Revathi & Mrs. S. Sreevidhya, Assistant Professors in English compiled this programme.  Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Assistant Professor in Commerce proposed the vote of thanks. 

Azadi Kaa Mahotsav – 75th year of India’s Independence Day celebration, essay writing competition

On account of Azadi Kaa Mahotsav – 75th year of India’s Independence Day celebration, essay writing competition was held on 29.12.2021 in the premises of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal.  The title of the Essay writing completion – Freedom fighters contributions in India’s indendance” (இந்திய சுதந்திரப்  போராட்டத்தில் தியாகிகளின் பங்கு).This event was organized by the PG department of Tamil, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Research Development & Innovation Cell

The winners of the first two places were

1)    Ms. R. Thavanithi – III B.A., Tamil   –   First Place

2)    Ms. A. Thowfica – II M.Sc., Physics –  Second Place

·        *** Because of Azadi Kaa Mahotsav – 75th year of India’s Independence Day celebration, elocution competition was held on 04.01.2022 in the campus of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal. 

The title of the elocution competition – Obtained Independence past ordeals! (சோதனைகள் கடந்து சுதந்திரம் அடைந்தோம்).

 This event was executed by the PG department of Tamil, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Research Development & Innovation Cell

National Girl Child Day –(24.01.2022)

Celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – 75th India’s Independence Day Celebrations – Observation of National Girl Child Day –(24.01.2022)

·         As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the units of NSS, YRC and RRC of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal observed National Girl Child Day on Monday (24th January 2022).  Mr. P.K. Sengodan, Chairman, in his speech, explained the significance of National Girl Child Day.   He further emphasized the want to create awareness on the safety rights, security rights, importance and responsibility of the girl child among the new generation.   He conveyed his national girl child day wishes to all the female faculty members and students of the College.    

Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal welcomed the gathering.  Er. K. Nallusamy, Secretary and Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic of the College offered their felicitation address.   Dr. G. Selvalakshmi, Syndicate Member, Periyar University, Dr. R. Savithri, YRC Programme Officer, Dr. M. Sasikala & Mrs. S. Jayamathi, NSS Programme Officers, Mrs. V. Gokila, Coordinator of Red Ribbon Club, Mr. N.S. Senthilkumar, Administrative Officer and more than 250 students and staff members of the College took part in social distancing.

Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society organized a 3 day Namakkal District Level Online Quiz Competitions (For students of Red Ribbon Club across 14 priority districts in Tamil Nadu state) from 27th January 2022 to 29th January 2022. Because of Azadi Ka amrit Mahotsav – 75th Independence Day Celebrations of India, this event was organized

M/s.  Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society organized a 3 day Namakkal District Level Online Quiz Competitions (For students of Red Ribbon Club across 14 priority districts in Tamil Nadu state) from 27th January 2022 to 29th January 2022.  Because of Azadi Ka amrit Mahotsav – 75th Independence Day Celebrations of India, this event was organized. 

The title of this New India @ 75 (phase 2 campaign) online quiz contest was “HIV Awareness- Blood Donation – Tuberculosis”.   

More than 200 participants in and around Namakkal district took part.   In this regard, 77 volunteers of RRC of our College took part.  The following participants of our College have obtained top three positions in the quiz competition of HIV Awareness, Blood Donation and Tuberculosis held from 27th January 2022 to 29th January 2022.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Trinity College for Women celebrates 75 years of India’s independence – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – The celebrations of 75th Independence of India which commenced 75 weeks before 75th anniversary of Independence will end on 15th August 2023. 

In this regard, all the faculty members who are working in Trinity College for Women, Namakkal and a few students of College have delivered the various topics related to the freedom fighters of India.   This event was held from 01st November 2021 to and ended to 22nd December 2021.   Our staff members and students have enthusiastically talked about the role of our Indian freedom fighters for our nation’s independence.

Owing to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (75 years of independence of India), National Service Scheme of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a Tree Plantation Event on 28.05.2022. Saplings were planted by the special invitee -Dr. M. Selvaraju, Dean of Tamil Nadu Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal.
