The Department of Tamil Development, Namakkal District, conducted an elocution competition on 10th and 11th February 2026 in the premises of Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Namakkal South. Nearly 20 students from various higher educational institutions in and around Namakkal District actively took part. Ms. A. Shalini, second year B.Sc., Computer Science, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, has obtained the first prize and got a sum of Rs. 5000 from the chief guests.

On account of the International Vallalar’s Conference, Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Department, Government of Tamil Nadu, organized the various competitions, like, essay writing, elocution, drawing, etc., for the benefit of schools and college students in and around Tamil Nadu state. In this regard, zonal level elocution competition was held on 11th February 2026 in the venue of Government Arts and Science College, Ezhumathur, Modakurichi Taluk, Erode District.
