The Department of Mathematics of our College organized a one day special lecture entitled “Works on Ramanujan” on 28th February 2020 in our College Trinity Auditorium. Mr. P.K. Sengodan, Chairman of the College presided over the special lecture programme. Er. K. Nallusamy, Secretary of the College, Dr. R. Kulandaivel, President, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School, Mr. D. Chandrasekaran, Secretary, Trinity Academy Matric Higher Secondary School and Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director-Academic offered their felicitation address.
Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal welcomed the gathering. Mrs. K. Thangammal, HOD of Mathematics introduced the chief guest.
Dr. V. Sadhasivam, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College, Rasipuram was the chief guest.
Dr. V. Sadhasivam has given a brief review on the life and works of Ramanujan. Ramanujan was one of the renowned Mathematicians. He made extra ordinary contributions to Mathematical Analysis, Number Theory, Infinite Series and Continued Fractions, he highlighted. He briefly explained the Ramanujan Number 1729. He advised that the faculty of Mathematics should imbibe the importance of Mathematics from Ramanujan’s life and the ideas are to be transferred to present day students of Mathematics.
Mathematics contest like Math Quiz, Math Rangoli, Math Modelling-Application of Mathematics in real life situations, Math Sketching, Math Connections and Miming – Mime on Social Issues were held on that occasion.

An introduction to oscillation theory
The department of Mathematics and SWAYAM of our College jointly conducted a one day webinar event entitled “An introduction to oscillation theory” on 22nd January 2021 (Friday) @ 11.30 A.M. Dr V Muthulakshmi, Associate Professor in Mathematics, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem was the special speaker. Mathematics is an essential language for doing science and differential equations from one of the most important parts in this language. The theory of oscillations is an important branch of the Applied Theory of Differential Equations related with the study of Oscillatory Phenomenon in technology and natural and social science, she gave inkling. She pointed out that the oscillation theory of differential equations has been accepted as a significance area of Mathematical Analysis. She explained the latest achievements and developments in this oscillation theory. Nearly 100 participants attended that webinar event in many places of Tamil Nadu.

Our College department of Mathematics and SWAYAM jointly organized a one day web based event entitled “Basic Graph Theory and its Applications” on 19th January 2021 (Tuesday) @ 3 PM through the Google Meet. On this subject, Dr. G. Rajasekaran, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, School of Advanced Science, VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology) University, Katpadi, Vellore was the invited speaker. He explained the outline of graph theory like history of Graph Theory, Basics Concept of Graph Theory, Graph Representations, Graph Terminologies and different types of Graphs. In addition to, he described the various applications of Graph Theory in the fields of Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Linguistics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Network, Social Sciences, Biology, etc., The faculty members of Mathematics Dr R Malarvizhi, Mrs. B Lena, Mrs. S. The Department of Mathematics and SWAYAM jointly organized a one day webinar event entitled “Development of Optimization in Modern Technology” on 30th January 2021. It was held through the Video Conferencing of Google Meet.

Beside that she focused the optimization subjects like mathematical foundations, optimization formulation, optimality conditions, algorithmic complexity, linear programming, convex optimization, integer programming, artificial neural network, clustering & classifications, constraint-handling, queuing theory, support vector machine and multi-objective optimization, evolutionary computation, nature-inspired algorithms. · The PG Department of Mathematics, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized a one day webinar programme entitled “Basis and Dimension of Vector Space” on 26th May 2021.In this regard, Dr R Meganathan, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, Shanmuga Industries Arts and Science College, Manalurpet Road, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvannamalai District was the resource person. He demonstrated the concept of dimension of vector space: Theorems, Definition & Example, Dimension of Subspaces of R3, Theorem, the basis theorem and the examples of dimensions of Col A and Nul A. Apart from that he explained the presentation methods of competitive examinations as well as tips and tricks of short cut methods to solve complicated problems in Vector Space of Algebra.

Mathematics IV at Kanniyakumari 30.5.22
An excursion is a journey by the college students to a place away from the normal college environment. Educational Tour is a learning experience outside the classroom. In this regard, the department of Mathematics students visited the various places of Kanyakumari district like Kumari Kutralam (Thirparappu Falls), Padmanabhapuram Palace, Thottipalam, Pazhathottam ECO Park, Suchindram Temples and Kanyakumari surrounding areas on 30th May 2022.
103 students of B.Sc., and M.Sc. Mathematics took part in that excursion. Dr. P. Saranya (AP & HOD of Mathematics –UG), Mrs. B. Lena (AP in Mathematics), Mrs. V.Gokila (AP in Mathematics), Mrs. P. Nandhini (AP in Mathematics), Mrs. V. Archana (Physical Director) and Mrs. P. Sathiya (Asst. Librarian) went to Kanyakumari along with the students.
Tamil Nadu Government Minority Commission organized a district level speech competition for College students on 12.05.2022. – It is proudly noted that Ms. B. Monika Sri of second year B.Sc., Mathematics has got a first prize of Rs. 20000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) from the chief guests in the speech competition.

The Post Graduate & Research Department of Mathematics, Kandaswami Kandar’s College, Paramathi-Velur, Namakkal District in association with FATER Academy of India, Tamil Nadu Central organized a 2 day national level seminar entitled “Cracking CSIR – NET Mathematical Sciences” from 05th May 2022 to 06th May 2022. Prof. R. Gnanaprakasam, (Qualified CSIR NET 18 times & 1st rank twice), Lecturer, Department of Mathematics, Tamil Nadu Government Polytechnic College, Madurai, Dr. M. Saravanan, (Qualified CSIR NET 2 times, GATE, NBHM & TNSET – 2 Times), Assistant Professor in Mathematics, Government Arts and Science College, Sattur, Virudhunagar District and Dr. N. Annamalai, (Qualified CSIR, GATE, DST – INSPIRE JRF & SRF), Assistant Professor in Mathematics, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur were spoke the topics of Mathematics like Linear Algebra, Algebra & Analysis.

The minority commission of Government of Tamil Nadu organized a district level speech competition in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu state. In this regard, Namakkal District Level competition was held on 12th May 2022 in the place of Hotel Nala, Namakkal. Ms. B. Monika Sri, II B.Sc., Mathematics of our College got first place in the English competition of elocution.
On this subject, Tamil Nadu Honourable Chief Minister Mr. M.K. Stalin on Friday (03.06.2022) distributed prizes to winners of an elocution competition conducted by state minority commission in Colleges through the Tamil Nadu state on last (May) month. Over 4000 students had participated in the contest which was held ahead of the 99th birth anniversary of the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi.
