Mrs. V. Archana, Director of Physical Education, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal, had been appointed as “Organising Committee Member for the South Zone Inter-University Handball Tournament,” held from January 9th to 14^th at the venue of Padmavani Arts & Science College for Women (Autonomous), Salem (opposite Periyar University, Salem).  

In this tournament, Mr. K. Duraisamy, Secretary, Mr. K. Sathiyamoorthy, Chairman, Mrs. Esaivani Sathiyamoorthy, Director, Padmavani Educational Institutions, Salem inaugurated the tournament.  

 Prof. Dr. R. Jagannathan, Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Periyar University, Salem was the chief guest and he presided over the tournament.

 Dr. K. Venkatachalam, Director of Physical Education, Periyar University,  Salem, Dr. R. Harikrishnaraj, Principal, and Dr. P. Muthukumar, Administrative Officer, Padmavani Arts and Science College for Women (Autonomous), Salem were also present.
