A programme on IIC

            On behalf of Institution’s Innovation Council, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal organized an offline programme in the title of “An outline of Institution’s Innovation Council – ARIAA, Yukti 2.0, KAPILA, School Innovation Council and DDH” on 21st March 2023.  It was held in the premises of a mini seminar hall. 

Prof. S. Rathika, Head-Department of MBA & Ambassador of IIC-Innovation, Prince Shri Venkateshwara Padmavathy Engineering College, Medavakkam – Mambakkam Road, Ponmar, Chennai was the special invitee.  

            Considering the fact India’s higher educational institutions are lacking in innovation and startup mentor capacity to guide students on Intellectual Property Rights, Copyrights, Patents, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.   According to the guidelines of New Education Policy 2020, the Institution’s Innovation Council has a very important role in higher education institutions for creating the research & development activities through entrepreneurial innovations, she said.  Also, she elaborated the importance of NIRF, ARIAA, Entrepreneurship Development, Innovation Activities, Startup activities, social medias, Hackathon, DDH, Internships, etc., in higher educational institutions.

Mrs. Aruna Selvaraj, Executive Director presided over the programme. Dr. M.R. Lakshiminarayanan, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering.   Dr. Arasuparameswaran, Director – Academic offered the felicitation address.   Mrs. A. Vijayasarathi, Coordinator, IIC proposed the vote of thanks.

The representatives of IIC Mrs. B. Lena, Mrs. M. Rajapadmavathi, Dr. S. Anidha, Dr. S. Devi, Dr. S. Kalaivani, Mrs. B. Kavitha and Mrs K. Barathi attended that programme. 

More than 250 students took part.
