Birth anniversary celebration of Paavendhar Bharathidasan – 29.04.2023
On account of Paavendhar Bharathidasan’s birth anniversary, the PostGraduate Research Department of Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal celebrated his birthday on 29th April 2023. It was held on the college campus.
Dr.C.Gobiya, Assistant Professor in Tamil, Trinity College for Women, Namakkal delivered in the topic of “Bharathidasan – A spirited devotee of Tamil language” (பாரதிதாசன் – தமிழ் மொழிக்கு ஊக்கம் கொடுத்த ஒரு ஈடுபாட்டாளர்). Bharathidasan’s indescribable affinity to the Tamil language, character and country of the Tamil always merged with Indian nationalism, she said. Also, she highlighted the reputed quotes by Bharathidasan, like “Expand knowledge – make it universal” (அறிவை விரிவு செய் – அகண்டமாக்கு), “we will create a brave new world” (புதியதோர் உலகம் செய்வோம்) and so on. . More than 100 students took part in that programme.
