Centenary year celebrations of the Vaikom Struggle
On account of the centenary celebrations of the Vaikom Struggle, the postgraduate and research department of Tamil as well as the Equal Opportunity Cell of Trinity College for Women, Namakkal conducted an elocution program titled “Periyar and Classical Language of Tamil” on February 26, 2024, on the college campus.
All the participants have quoted their speeches regarding the role of Periyar in the development of the classical language of Tamil. Ms. S. Meena, second year B.A., Tamil secured the first place and Ms. M. Sandhiya, second year B.A., English got the first prize. This programme was conducted by the faculty of Tamil Dr T.K. Anuradha, Dr. R. Savithri, Mrs. S. Jayamathi, Dr. A. Latha, Dr. B. Vishnupriya, Dr. C. Gobiya, Dr. R.A. Anitha, Mrs. S. Hemalatha, Mrs. K. Barathi, Dr. T. Geetha, Mrs. K. Padmavathi and Dr. N. Subalakshmi.
