IQAC coordinator participation in the virtual program on “Binary Accreditation System of NAAC”
Under the auspices of NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), a consultative meeting with universities and colleges in the southern region was held on March 19, 2024. It was held in virtual mode. The main aim of the discussion is the transformation of the system in order to strengthen the periodic approval, assessment, accreditation, and ranking of all higher educational institutions in India. The resource persons pointed out the revised norms of NAAC accreditation. The binary accreditation means that the higher educational institutions will be either accredited or not accredited as an alternative for obtaining a grade. These binary accreditation system’s standards and benchmarks will be based on seven criteria with 34 key indications. This system will be implemented by December 2024, they said.
